  • The Construction Division has been displaying design-and-build capabilities and experience in a number of projects. Major completed projects include Headquarters Building of the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, ICAC Headquarters Building, North Point Government Offices, Shui On Centre in Hong Kong, Manulife Tower and "Private Sector Participation Scheme" of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at Bauhinia Garden, Richland Gardens, Hong Sing Garden and Tai Po Plaza in Hong Kong.

    • SOBC has been included in the Works Bureau's List of Approved Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Repair and Restoration of Historic Buildings".

    • SOBC and SOC were accredited with ISO 14001 environmental management system certificates in 1999.

  • SOCAM has long provided leadership in health, safety and environment management within Hong Kong's construction industry. Our Safety Committee, which was later expanded into the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Department in 2007, was established in as early as 1979, before contractual or statutory obligations were introduced and well ahead of other local building contractors, to ensure our operations are conducted safely, efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner.

    Upholding best-in-industry work safety standards and practices, we have maintained an incident rate much lower than the industry average for many years.

    • We pay special attention to work at height and implement extra safety precautions to ensure the safety of our workers.

    • Our project managers perform regular site inspections to maintain a high level of site safety through the provision of clear instructions and guidelines to our subcontractors and workers.

    • Our annual HSE target seminar is one of the major industry events to share our experience and the latest developments in construction safety practices.

    • Our annual safety workshops invite subcontractors and their site managements to exchange the latest developments and legislations in health, safety, environment and quality.
